Cashmere is super light compared to other wool types which normally are a bit heavier and provides better insulation. The yarn doesn’t stretch as much either and certainly doesn’t wrinkle - Which makes it perfect for everyday use and traveling! The softness of pure Cashmere is also very hard to find in other types of wool unless they are treated.
Friction of wear can subject your cashmere to tiny balls of fuzz (like when your handbag is rubbing against the side of your coat, or under your armpits where we move our arms the most). Restore to its original silk soft state by using one of our de-pilling combs to lightly brush the affected areas in the direction of the knit. No batteries needed, easy to carry!
Cashmere: Check the care label before laundering cashmere. To hand-wash, use our cashmere shampoo. Gently squeeze the water through the garment, then rinse until the water runs clear. Do not wring or twist. Squeeze out excess water. To dry, lay flat on a towel, away from sunlight or heat. To read more information, see our care section here!
Wool knit: Typically, wool knits need to be dry-cleaned, but check the label. If hand- washable, use cool water and our Cashmere Shampoo. Squeeze out excess water, then reshape and dry flat.
Wool (lined): Lined garments generally looks best when professionally dry-cleaned once a season. Between dry cleanings, remove surface soil with a brush or damp cloth. Refresh the item by hanging it from a padded hanger in a steamy bathroom; moisture will help garment shed wrinkles. When touching up with an iron, use steam in an up-and- down motion (rather than sliding the iron along the fabric). If you are unsure of how to do it, we would most definitely refer you to a dry cleaner to get the job done professionally!
